Introducing the Chiropractor to see in Trumbull County, Dr. Mark DeMalio

The Chiropractor To See In Trumbull County

I have often been asked as to the reason why I chose to be a Chiropractic Physician and I must admit this discipline of healthcare actually chose me.

I was a senior in high school, football player, and preparing for college with aspirations of a career in the health care field.  I received a severe injury to my lower back during football training that not only ended my football career but also in turn debilitated my current way of life.  Being a young man, I followed my parent’s advice as well as the school’s and went through the normal or traditional route for treatment for my injury.  Medications didn’t help, physical therapy failed.  My pain was dismissed a pulled muscle, sprained ligament, being a large sized young man, and a “you should be healed by now diagnosis”.  I consulted a well-respected chiropractor in town to see if he could help me.  An x-ray revealed that I had a lumbar spine fracture.  I started on the road to rehabilitation and after some treatments and proper management; I was back to a healthy, athletic, and active life.  So as you can see, I take all patient’s pain and ill health, well…personally.

I am a native of Niles, Ohio and graduate of Niles McKinley High School.  I was employed as an orthopedic orderly at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for 4 years while attending Youngstown State University.  I received my B.S. in Pre-Medicine-Biology from YSU.  I received my Doctorate of Chiropractic and a B.S. in Human Biology from the National College of Chiropractic in 1992, which is now known as the National University of Health Sciences, located in Chicago.

Progressive Chiropractic Principles for Optimal Wellness.  This statement sums it all up.  I work very hard to let my patients know of all their options to address current and chronic health issues.  I am diligent in coordinating my patient’s care with my care, their family doctors and other health care providers to insure optimal health and well being.

I am married to my wonderful wife, Heather and have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Isabella, age 8 and Mia, age 5.  With a young family, time goes by quickly, but I do manage to get in some golf!

My approach to maintaining my health and manage my own concerns consists of weekly chiropractic care, whole food vitamin supplementation, and exercise.  These are key components that assist in keeping a positive mental attitude and fight the demands of my everyday life.

Could a chiropractor put an end to bedwetting?
If bladder control seems elusive, consider chiropractic. If spinal bones are interfering with nerves that control your child's bladder, plastic sheets, alarms and other methods simply add to the embarrassment. Trumbull County parents are often amazed (and relieved) that chiropractic can be so helpful. Learn more.
How do you know when you're healthy?
Ask most Trumbull County residents this simple question and you're likely to hear, "When you feel good" or "When you're at your proper weight for your height" or "When you have lots of energy and vitality." Great answers. But our chiropractic patients know that true health is when your body is working as it was designed. True health is how you function, not how you feel.
